JetBlue has declared that as of February 26, 2024, Marty St. George will assume the role of president of the organization.
St. George will be accountable to Joanna Geraghty, the prospective CEO and current president of JetBlue.
St. George, a seasoned professional in the industry, was a member of JetBlue's executive team from 2006 to 2019.
Initially appointed vice president, planning, he subsequently advanced to senior vice president of marketing and commercial, and finally assumed the role of executive vice president and chief commercial officer.
St. George managed an airline strategy consulting practice and served as the interim chief commercial officer of Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA prior to joining LATAM in 2020.
St. George will oversee the commercial operations of JetBlue as president, including revenue and marketing management, customer loyalty, network strategy, airline partnerships, and network planning.
In addition to assuming responsibility for corporate communications, enterprise and operational planning, and customer support, he will supervise JetBlue Travel Products (JTP), a division that will remain under the daily direction of its president, Andres Barry.
St. George will commence his new position at a time of considerable difficulty for the airline, as a federal judge blocked its $3.8 billion acquisition of Spirit Airlines last month.
In June, the court is scheduled to hear the carriers' appeal of the decision.
